Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Line a clean square pan with parchment paper
  3. Attach the Creaming Beater
  4. Add butter, muscovado sugar, ground hazelnut, all purpose flour, egg and baking powder to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  5. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed Max
  7. Scrape
  8. Add dark chocolate and plum to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed 4
  10. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to square pan
  11. Spread until level
  12. Add plum to the square pan
  13. Add the plum halves, evenly spaced in 3 rows of 3.
  14. Bake - 30 min, 160°C
  15. Sprinkle with demerara sugar and hazelnuts
  16. Bake - 15 min, 160°C
  17. Let cool on round wire rack
  18. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  19. Attach the Creaming Beater
  20. Add dark chocolate to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  21. Cook with splashguard fitted - 10 min, 60°C, Stir 1
  22. Drizzle cake with chocolate
  23. Cut into squares
  24. Serve
