Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Grease a clean bundt pan
  3. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add unsalted butter, golden syrup, treacle, muscovado sugar and dark chocolate to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Heat with filler cap removed - 5 min, 60°C, speed 4
  8. Then add stem ginger and stout to the kCook bowl
  9. Cook with filler cap removed - 3 min, 94°C, speed 4
  10. Then add baking soda to the kCook bowl
  11. Mix with filler cap removed - 5 min, speed 6
  12. Then add egg to the kCook bowl
  13. Mix with filler cap removed - 1 min, speed 7
  14. Then add all purpose flour, baking powder, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, allspice and ground nutmeg to the kCook bowl
  15. Mix with filler cap removed - 3 min, speed 5
  16. Transfer batter to bundt pan
  17. Bake - 50 min, 160°C
  18. Let cool slightly
  19. Turn out on round wire rack
  20. Let cool completely
  21. Add icing sugar, water, orange food coloring and orange to a clean small bowl
  22. Mix until combined
  23. Drizzle cake with icing
  24. Sprinkle with orange zest
  25. Serve
