This recipe uses the steamer tray to steam the gnocchi while the tomato and pancetta sauce cooks below in the kCook bowl. At the end of the recipe the gnocchi is added to the bowl and stirred into the sauce. Serve garnished with grated parmesan.

Step preview

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add olive oil to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Heat with filler cap removed - 140°C, speed 3
  8. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  9. Slice onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  10. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  11. Add garlic clove and smoked lardons to the kCook bowl
  12. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 120°C, speed 3
  13. Then add vegetable stock, canned whole tomatoes, brown sugar, fresh parsley and salt & pepper to the kCook bowl
  14. Cook with filler cap removed - 35 min, 98°C, speed 3
  15. Add gnocchi to the steamer tray
  16. Assemble
  17. Steam - 10 min, 104°C, speed 3
  18. Transfer content of steamer tray to kCook bowl
  19. Add fresh basil to the kCook bowl
  20. Stir with filler cap fitted - 10 sec, 75°C, speed 3
  21. Then add parmesan cheese to the kCook bowl
  22. Serve
