Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  2. Grease and line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Attach K Beater
  4. Add salt, butter, all purpose flour and baking powder to the Kenwood bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted until coarse crumbs form - 2 min, Speed 1
  6. Then add caster sugar and milk to the Kenwood bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 20 sec, Speed Max
  8. Transfer content of Kenwood bowl to lightly floured surface
  9. Roll the dough out until about 3 cm thick
  10. Cut out 5 cm rounds and place them on the baking tray
  11. Brush with egg
  12. Bake until lightly browned - 18 min, 220°C
  13. Transfer on wire rack and let cool
  14. Serve
