These herby dumplings are the perfect accompaniment for a hearty stew or casserole and are cooked on top of the stew during the last 20 minutes of cooking time. If you are making the stew in the Cooking Chef, finish the stew in the oven in a large casserole dish, removing the lid after a few minutes to allow the dumplings to crisp up on top.

  1. Attach the K-Beater
  2. Add all purpose flour, vegetarian suet, sea salt, fresh parsley, fresh rosemary, baking powder and fresh thyme to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

  5. Add water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl while machine is running
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 20 sec, Speed 1
  7. Flour your hands
  8. Divide equal pieces
  9. Roll into balls
  10. Add to the top of simmering stew or casserole and cook for 20 minutes
  11. Serve
