This recipe uses a speedy pizza dough made without yeast, like a flat bread. The sausage topping is cooked with fennel, chilli and red onion and then added to the pizzas with rosemary and extra toppings before it’s cooked in a very hot oven.

Step preview

  1. Grease a clean baking tray
  2. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  3. Add olive oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  4. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  5. Heat with splashguard fitted until hot - 2 min, 120°C, Speed OFF
  6. Then add sausage to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  7. Cook with splashguard fitted - 2 min, 140°C, Stir 3
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted until browned - 3 min, 120°C, Stir 3
  9. Then add red onion, garlic clove, fennel seeds and chili flakes to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  10. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 5 min, 120°C, Stir 3
  11. Transfer mixture to small bowl then set aside
  12. Pre-heat oven - 220°C
  13. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  14. Attach the Dough Tool
  15. Add all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, olive oil and water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  16. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 1
  17. Mix with splashguard fitted until mixture comes together - 2 min, Speed 2
  18. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  19. Divide into halves
  20. Roll out until desired shape
  21. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  22. Spread with red pesto
  23. Top with cheddar cheese
  24. Garnish with fresh rosemary
  25. Top with the sausage mixture
  26. Garnish with roasted red pepper, chestnut mushrooms, black olives and red onion
  27. Sprinkle with black pepper
  28. Drizzle with olive oil
  29. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 220°C
  30. Serve
