Step preview

  1. Attach the Creaming Beater
  2. Add whole milk and caster sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Heat with splashguard fitted until sugar has dissolved - 1 min, 60°C, Stir 1
  5. Then add unsalted butter to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined and let cool - 3 min, Stir 1
  7. Remove the Creaming Beater
  8. Add active dried yeast to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Let rest - 5 min
  10. Add salt, bread flour and egg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  11. Attach the Dough Tool
  12. Knead until dough forms - 10 min, Speed 1
  13. Remove the dough from the bowl, lightly oil the Cooking Chef XL bowl, place the dough back into the bowl.
  14. Remove the Dough Tool
  15. Prove with splashguard fitted until doubled in size - 1 hr, 30°C, Speed OFF
  16. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  17. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  18. Divide into pieces
  19. Roll into balls
  20. Transfer the dough balls to baking tray
  21. Cover with kitchen towel
  22. Prove - 45 min
  23. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Stir Tool
  24. Add unsalted butter, light brown sugar and ground cinnamon to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  25. Cook with splashguard fitted until combined - 3 min, 95°C, Stir 1
  26. Then add apple to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  27. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 12 min, 100°C, Stir 1
  28. Add cornflour and water to a clean small bowl
  29. Stir until combined
  30. Transfer cornflour mixture to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  31. Cook with splashguard fitted until thickened - 5 min, 100°C, Stir 1
  32. Transfer mixture to medium bowl
  33. Set aside and let cool
  34. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  35. Form a hollow in the centre of each dough disc by pressing with your fingers or a glass to make an edge
  36. Add fruit to dough balls
  37. Brush with egg
  38. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 180°C
  39. Remove from oven
  40. Transfer onto cooling rack and let cool
  41. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Creaming Beater
  42. Add icing sugar and water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  43. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 2
  44. Drizzle topping with icing
  45. Serve
