A quick all in one pasta recipe with smoked sausage and a rich tomato sauce, perfect for feeding the family when you're short on time. We have used Rigatoni pasta however you could also try this with penne or fusilli- simply check the pasta during cooking to ensure it is cooked to your liking.

Step preview

  1. Attach the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  2. Add olive oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Heat with splashguard fitted until hot - 2 min, 120°C, Speed OFF
  5. Then add smoked sausages to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Cook with splashguard fitted until browned - 6 min, 140°C, Stir 2
  7. Transfer the cooked sausage to a small bowl and set aside
  8. Add onion to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Cook with splashguard fitted until translucent - 3 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  10. Then add green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and garlic clove to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  11. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 3 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  12. Then add tomato purée, salt and black pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  13. Cook with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  14. Then add canned chopped tomatoes, water, dried basil, dried oregano and light brown sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  15. Cook with splashguard fitted until thickened - 6 min, 105°C, Stir 3
  16. Then add rigatoni pasta and vegetable stock to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  17. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 12 min, 105°C, Stir 4
  18. Then add baby spinach, fresh parsley, salt and black pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  19. Transfer content of small bowl to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  20. Cook with splashguard fitted until cooked through - 3 min, 105°C, Stir 4
  21. Divide mixture between 6 large serving bowls
  22. Garnish with parmesan cheese
  23. Garnish with fresh basil leaves
  24. Serve
