Step preview

  1. Attach the Whisk
  2. Add pastry flour, salt, active dried yeast and caster sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed 1
  5. Remove the Whisk
  6. Add egg and milk to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  7. Attach the Dough Tool
  8. Knead with splashguard fitted - 10 min, 30°C, Speed 2
  9. Then add butter to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  10. Knead with splashguard fitted - 5 min, Speed 1
  11. Remove the Dough Tool
  12. Prove with splashguard fitted - 1 hr, 30°C, Speed OFF
  13. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  14. Knead slightly
  15. Divide into 8 equal pieces
  16. Roll into balls
  17. Transfer shaped dough to ring cake mould
  18. Brush with milk
  19. Sprinkle with pearl sugar
  20. Cover with kitchen towel
  21. Prove - 45 min
  22. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  23. Remove the kitchen towel from the dough
  24. Bake - 25 min, 180°C
  25. Remove from oven
  26. Turn out content of ring cake mould onto cooling rack carefully
  27. Let cool completely
  28. Serve
