Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  2. Grease a clean round pan then set aside
  3. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  4. Fit the coarse grating disc, attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  5. Grate granny smith apple into the Food processor attachment
  6. Remove the Food Processor attachment from the machine
  7. Attach the K-Beater
  8. Add almonds, caster sugar, unsalted butter and egg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed Max
  11. Transfer content of Food processor attachment to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Add spelt flour, baking powder, milk and salt to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  13. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 3
  14. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to round pan
  15. Bake - 40 min, 170°C
  16. Remove from oven
  17. Turn out cake onto cooling rack
  18. Set aside and let cool
  19. Serve
