A creamy and velvety dark chocolate dessert, flavoured with cardamon and ready in just 10 minutes; it can be served in glasses or piped onto a plate. Serve accompanied by caramelised figs, mint leaves, fig jelly and grated almonds, User generated recipes have not been tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  2. Add whipping cream, whole milk and ground cardamom to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  5. Heat with filler cap removed - 1 min 30 sec, 95°C, speed 4
  6. Add caster sugar and egg yolk to a clean jug
  7. Beat until well combined
  8. Pour egg mixture into kCook bowl
  9. Cook with filler cap removed - 5 min, 85°C, speed 5
  10. Then add chocolate 70% to the kCook bowl
  11. Mix with filler cap removed - 4 min, speed 6
  12. Pour chocolate mixture into medium bowl
  13. Cover with plastic wrap
  14. Chill in fridge and continue
  15. Add fig jam to a clean jug
  16. Whisk until runny
  17. Pour jam into piping bag then set aside
  18. Add caster sugar to a clean small bowl
  19. Add figs to a clean cutting board
  20. Cut into halves
  21. Coat the figs in sugar
  22. Pre-heat a clean frying pan - medium heat
  23. Transfer figs into the frying pan
  24. Cook until caramelized - approx 3 min
  25. Remove the figs and set aside
  26. Remove the chocolate mixture from the fridge and pour into a piping bag
  27. Pipe the chocolate mixture onto a serving plate to form little peaks
  28. Add the fig jam, and the caramelized figs
  29. Garnish with mint leaves and toasted almonds
  30. Serve
