Step preview

  1. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  3. Fit the knife blade to the Food Processor bowl
  4. Add stale bread to the Food processor attachment
  5. Blend until fine crumbs form
  6. Transfer breadcrumb mixture to small bowl then set aside
  7. Attach the Stir Tool
  8. Add olive oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  10. Heat with splashguard fitted until hot - 1 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  11. Then add onion, garlic clove, cumin seeds and fennel seeds to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Cook with splashguard fitted until fragrant - 6 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  13. Then add pine nuts to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  14. Cook with splashguard fitted until golden brown - 2 min, 120°C, Stir 1
  15. Then add harissa, ground lamb, fresh parsley, lemon and salt to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  16. Transfer breadcrumb mixture to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  17. Attach the Creaming Beater
  18. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 30 sec, Speed 1
  19. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  20. Add puff pastry to a clean lightly floured surface
  21. Roll into a rectangle until 2mm thick
  22. Cut equal pieces
  23. Roll some of the filling into a sausage shape
  24. Transfer filling to pastry
  25. Brush the edges with some of the beaten egg
  26. Pull the top edge over the filling to meet the bottom edge
  27. Press down
  28. Use a fork to seal by using the prongs to press down on the edge of the pastry
  29. Brush with egg
  30. Sprinkle with sesame seeds
  31. Use a knife to divide the dough into 7cm individual rolls
  32. Transfer rolls to baking tray
  33. Use a fork to make small incisions on top of each roll
  34. Repeat the same process with the remaining pastry and filling
  35. Bake until golden brown - 25 min, 200°C
  36. Remove from oven and let cool
  37. Serve
