Step preview

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add fresh yeast, caster sugar, egg, vanilla extract, salt, milk and all purpose flour to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, speed 7
  6. Add butter to the kCook bowl while machine is running
  7. Mix - 5 min, speed 7
  8. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 7
  9. Transfer content of kCook bowl to medium bowl
  10. Cover with kitchen towel
  11. Let rise - 1 hr
  12. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  13. Knead
  14. Wrap with plastic wrap
  15. Set aside in fridge - 30 min
  16. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  17. Remove the dough from the fridge and place it onto the lightly floured work surface
  18. Knead
  19. Roll into a rectangle
  20. Sprinkle with dark chocolate chips
  21. Use a rolling pin to push the chocolate chips inside the dough
  22. Fold the dough into quarters
  23. Knead to distribute the chocolate chips throughout the dough
  24. Shape 14 briochettes of about 80 g each, or smaller
  25. Transfer dough balls to baking tray
  26. Set aside - approx 30 min
  27. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  28. Add milk and caster sugar to a clean small bowl
  29. Brush the briochettes with the milk mixture
  30. Bake until golden brown - 17 min, 180°C
  31. Serve
