Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  2. Grease and line a clean loaf pan (900g) with parchment paper then set aside
  3. Add cherries and all purpose flour to a clean bowl
  4. Mix with tablespoon until coated then set aside
  5. Attach K Beater
  6. Add caster sugar, butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon zest, all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, ground almonds and milk to the Kenwood bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted until well combined - 4 min, Speed 3
  8. Transfer content of bowl to Kenwood bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 30 sec, Speed Min
  10. Transfer content of Kenwood bowl to loaf pan (900g)
  11. Bake - 45 min, 170°C
  12. Cover loosely with foil
  13. Bake until skewer tests clean - 15 min, 170°C
  14. Remove from oven and let cool
  15. Serve
