Step preview

  1. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Add raisins and water to a clean small bowl
  3. Soak - 10 min
  4. Add vegan butter, non dairy milk and saffron to a clean saucepan
  5. Heat until lukewarm then set aside - low heat
  6. Attach Dough Hook
  7. Transfer content of saucepan to Kenwood Bowl
  8. Add all purpose flour, dried yeast, sugar and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed Min
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 8 min, Speed 1
  11. Cover with kitchen towel
  12. Prove - 1 hr
  13. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  14. Divide into 4 equal pieces with dough scraper
  15. Divide each piece into fours again, so you have 16 pieces of dough all together
  16. Roll into balls
  17. Take one ball of dough
  18. Roll into a log
  19. Shape into a curled S-shape
  20. Repeat the same with the remaining dough pieces
  21. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  22. Brush with non dairy milk lightly
  23. Add raisins to shaped dough
  24. Cover with kitchen towel
  25. Let rest - 30 min
  26. Pre-heat oven - 204°C
  27. Bake until golden brown - 5 min, 204°C
  28. Remove from oven and let cool
  29. Serve
