Basic pasta dough recipe to prepare Spaghetti, Lasagna sheets, Fettucchine etc. You can shape the dough by hand or use the Kenwood pasta roller attachment. Pasta cooking time is approximately 3 - 4 minutes. User generated recipes have not been retestet by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Attach the K-Beater
  2. Add durum wheat flour, water, olive oil and salt to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 2 min, Speed 1
  5. Remove the bowl from the machine
  6. Cover with kitchen towel
  7. Let rest - 30 min
  8. Attach bowl to machine again
  9. Attach the Dough Tool
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted until firm - 5 min, Speed 1
  11. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to work surface
  12. Knead briefly and roll into a ball shape
  13. Wrap with plastic wrap
  14. Let rest for at least 2 hours but ideally overnight
  15. Divide dough into four equal pieces
  16. Shape into rectangles
  17. Shape the pasta either with a pasta roller attachment or by hand
