Step preview

  1. Attach the K-Beater
  2. Add all purpose flour and butter to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted until crumbs form - 5 min, Speed 1
  5. Add caster sugar and egg to a clean medium bowl
  6. Mix until combined
  7. Transfer sugar mixture to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 2 min, Speed 1
  9. Transfer dough to work surface
  10. Wrap with plastic wrap
  11. Chill in fridge - 20 min
  12. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  13. Attach the Stir Tool
  14. Add apple, caster sugar and water to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  15. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 10 min, 100°C, Stir 4
  16. Then add blackberries to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  17. Cook with splashguard fitted until softened - 5 min, 80°C, Stir 3
  18. Strain mixture into medium bowl then set aside
  19. Retrieve the chilled dough from the fridge
  20. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  21. Roll out into a circle until 3mm thick
  22. Transfer pastry to tart pan
  23. Chill in fridge - 20 min
  24. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  25. Retrieve the chilled pastry from the fridge
  26. Line with parchment paper
  27. Bake - 15 min, 160°C
  28. Remove the parchment paper and baking beans
  29. Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 160°C
  30. Remove from oven and let cool
  31. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  32. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  33. Attach the K-Beater
  34. Add all purpose flour, butter and demerara sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  35. Mix with splashguard fitted until crumbs form - 5 min, Speed 1
  36. Transfer filling to tart pan
  37. Sprinkle pastry with crumbs
  38. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 180°C
  39. Remove from oven and let cool
  40. Serve
