Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  2. Grease a clean financier pan
  3. Add butter to a clean saucepan
  4. Heat until light golden then set aside - medium heat
  5. Attach Whisk
  6. Sift icing sugar, ground hazelnut, all purpose flour and salt into the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 20 sec, Speed 2
  8. Then add vanilla bean pod and egg white to the Kenwood Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 3
  10. Pour content of saucepan into Kenwood Bowl
  11. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 30 sec, Speed 3
  12. Transfer mixture to piping bag
  13. Squeeze mixture into financier pan
  14. Bake - 12 min, 170°C
  15. Remove from oven and let cool
  16. Serve
