Step preview

  1. Attach the Dough Tool
  2. Add egg, salt, all purpose flour, milk, unsalted butter and dried yeast to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 10 min, Speed 1
  5. Remove the Dough Tool
  6. Prove with splashguard fitted until doubled in size - 1 hr, 30°C, Speed OFF
  7. Line a clean plate with paper towels
  8. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  9. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  10. Using a knife, cut the dough into diamond shapes
  11. Add oil to a clean large saucepan
  12. Heat - 180°C
  13. Fry pastry in large saucepan and turn half way through
  14. Transfer pastry to plate
  15. Dust with icing sugar
  16. Serve
