Step preview

  1. Attach K Beater
  2. Add water, egg and corn oil to the Kenwood Bowl
  3. Mix with splashguard fitted - 4 min, Speed 5
  4. Attach Dough Hook
  5. Add salt, caster sugar, fine semolina flour, all purpose flour and quick-rise yeast to the Kenwood Bowl
  6. Knead with splashguard fitted - 10 min, Speed 1
  7. Transfer content of Kenwood Bowl to lightly floured surface
  8. Shape into a rectangle
  9. Roll out thinly
  10. Garnish with cooked ham, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, scamorza cheese and black pepper
  11. Roll into a log
  12. Cut with a sharp knife from one end to the other, leaving one end together
  13. Twist the two parts together to form a braid
  14. Flour a clean baking tray
  15. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  16. Shape into a ring
  17. Cover with kitchen towel
  18. Prove - 1 hr
  19. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  20. Add egg and white vinegar to a clean small bowl
  21. Mix until well combined
  22. Brush the dough with the egg mixture
  23. Bake until golden brown - 30 min, 180°C
  24. Remove from oven and let cool
  25. Serve
