A delicious banana bread. Perfect with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, as breakfast with your favourite jam, or just as a quick snack. For this recipe I used spelt flour, but you can make this easily gluten-free by using buckwheat flour instead. User generated recipes have not been re-tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Grease a clean loaf pan then set aside
  3. Add banana, ground cinnamon and salt to a clean small bowl
  4. Using a fork, mash the bananas with the salt and the ground cinnamon
  5. Attach Whisk
  6. Add egg to the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Whisk with splashguard fitted until light and fluffy - 1 min, Speed 4
  8. Attach K Beater
  9. Transfer content of small bowl to Kenwood Bowl
  10. Add spelt flour, baking powder, walnuts and canola oil to the Kenwood Bowl
  11. Mix with splashguard fitted - 3 min, Speed 1
  12. Transfer dough to loaf pan
  13. Bake - 30 min, 180°C
  14. Serve
