Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper then set aside
  3. Attach K Beater
  4. Add baking powder, all purpose flour and sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted - 15 sec, Speed 1
  6. Then add salted butter to the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 2
  8. Then add milk to the Kenwood Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 2
  10. Then add raisins to the Kenwood Bowl
  11. Mix with splashguard fitted - 15 sec, Speed 2
  12. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  13. Roll out
  14. Cut out rounds with a fluted cutter and place the rounds on the prepared baking tray
  15. Add egg, water and salt to a clean small bowl
  16. Mix until combined
  17. Brush the scones with the egg mixture
  18. Bake - 20 min, 200°C
  19. Serve
