Step preview

  1. Attach Creaming beater
  2. Add butter and caster sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  3. Mix with splashguard fitted until smooth - 3 min, Speed 2
  4. Then add egg and vanilla extract to the Kenwood Bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted until light and fluffy - 2 min, Speed 2
  6. Then add all purpose flour, baking powder and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 2 min, Speed Min
  8. Wrap with plastic wrap
  9. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  10. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  11. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  12. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  13. Cut into halves
  14. Take one half of the dough
  15. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  16. Cut into rounds
  17. Cut a small hole on the top of each cookie using the wide end of a small piping nozzle
  18. Repeat the same with the other dough half
  19. Transfer cookies to baking tray
  20. Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 180°C
  21. Remove from oven and let cool
  22. Clean Kenwood Bowl
  23. Attach Creaming beater
  24. Add egg white and icing sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  25. Mix - 2 min, Speed Min
  26. Mix until smooth - 8 min, Speed 1
  27. Transfer icing to small bowl
  28. Add food coloring to the small bowl
  29. Mix until combined
  30. Transfer icing to piping bag
  31. Pipe icing onto cookies
  32. Decorate with sprinkles
  33. Tie a piece of ribbon onto each cookie
  34. Serve
