Step preview

  1. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper then set aside
  2. Attach Dough Tool
  3. Add water and fresh yeast to the EasyWarm Bowl
  4. Stir with splashguard fitted until dissolved - 30 sec, Speed 1
  5. Then add butter, malt powder, salt and strong white bread flour to the EasyWarm Bowl
  6. Knead with splashguard fitted - 5 min, Speed Min
  7. Knead with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  8. Remove Dough Tool
  9. Prove with splashguard fitted - 30 min, 2
  10. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  11. Divide into 10 equal pieces
  12. Form into balls
  13. Cover with kitchen towel and let rise - 10 min
  14. Roll out into an oval shape
  15. Roll into a log
  16. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  17. Repeat with the rest
  18. Let rest - 10 min
  19. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  20. Place a heatproof dish with hot water in the bottom shelf of the oven
  21. Spray shaped dough with water
  22. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and coarse rock salt
  23. Bake until golden brown - 20 min
  24. Spray again with water while still hot
  25. Serve
