A nice warm and tasty dish for those cold winter evenings... And above all, one that fills you up while not costing you too much! You can also use some cannellini beans for a milder tasting dish. You will need to soak the dried beans overnight, then drain and rinse them before starting the recipe. User generated recipes have not been tested by Kenwood.

  1. Fit fine grating disc (2) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Before you start the recipe, soak the dried borlotti beans overnight, then drain and rinse them
  4. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  5. Add dried borlotti beans, water and bay leaves to the kCook bowl
  6. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  7. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  8. Cook with filler cap fitted - 3 hr, 98°C, speed 3
  9. Place the colander over a large bowl
  10. Drain beans into colander
  11. Keep the cooking water in the bowl and do not throw it away
  12. Clean kCook bowl
  13. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  14. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  15. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  16. Grate carrot, celery stalk and onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  17. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  18. Add oil to the kCook bowl
  19. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  20. Cook with filler cap fitted - 3 min, 98°C, speed 3
  21. Then add salami to the kCook bowl
  22. Cook with filler cap fitted - 5 min, 98°C, speed 3
  23. Transfer beans to kCook bowl
  24. Add salt to the kCook bowl
  25. Add 2 ladles of cooking water
  26. Cook with filler cap fitted - 8 min, 98°C, speed 3
  27. Then add tomato purée to the kCook bowl
  28. Cook with filler cap fitted - 15 min, 98°C, speed 3
  29. It should not dry out too much, so if necessary add a few more ladles of cooking water
  30. Add pasta to the kCook bowl
  31. Cook with filler cap fitted - 10 min, 98°C, speed 3
  32. Let rest - 5 min
  33. Serve
