Step preview

  1. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Attach Dough Hook
  3. Add dried yeast, milk, bread flour, salt, sugar, egg and butter to the Kenwood Bowl
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted until dough forms - 10 min, Speed 2
  5. Transfer dough to large mixing bowl
  6. Cover with kitchen towel
  7. Prove until doubled - 1 hr
  8. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  9. Divide into 12 equal pieces
  10. Form into balls
  11. Roll into logs
  12. Join two ropes by pinching the two ends together
  13. Twist the two ropes together around each other to form one rope
  14. Bring the two ends together to form a circle
  15. Pinch the ends to seal
  16. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  17. Cover with kitchen towel
  18. Repeat the same with the remaining dough
  19. Top with boiled eggs
  20. Cover with kitchen towel
  21. Prove - 30 min
  22. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  23. Retrieve the dough
  24. Brush with egg
  25. Bake until golden brown - 25 min, 180°C
  26. Remove from oven and let cool
  27. Clean Kenwood Bowl
  28. Attach Creaming beater
  29. Add icing sugar and water to the Kenwood Bowl
  30. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 1
  31. Drizzle cake with icing
  32. Garnish with sprinkles
  33. Serve
