In Korea, fried foods in an egg batter - known as 'jeon' - are popular as party food and bar snacks. There are many variations of fried chillies, some stuffed with pork mince, tofu, or hotdogs, this recipe uses spam and mozzarella to provide spice and saltiness, perfect alongside a cold drink.

  1. Attach the Stir Tool
  2. Add vegetable oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Cook until hot - 30 sec, 120°C, Speed OFF
  5. Then add spam to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  6. Cook until browned - 5 min, 120°C, Stir 3
  7. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to small bowl
  8. Add mozzarella cheese to the small bowl
  9. Mix until combined then set aside
  10. Add salt, baking powder and all purpose flour to a clean small bowl
  11. Mix until combined then set aside
  12. Place red chili on a clean plate
  13. Fill each chilli with the Spam and mozzarella mixture and set aside
  14. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  15. Add vegetable oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  16. Remove the Stir Tool
  17. Heat until hot - 1 min, 180°C, Speed OFF
  18. Add egg to a clean small bowl
  19. Dip a stuffed chilli into the egg
  20. Shake off the excess egg and dip the chilli into the flour mixture
  21. Shake off the excess flour and place the chilli onto the plate
  22. Repeat with the rest
  23. Transfer content of plate to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  24. Cook - 2 min, 180°C, Speed OFF
  25. Using a fork or steel spider strainer, carefully flip the chillies over
  26. Cook - 2 min, 180°C, Speed OFF
  27. Transfer content of Cooking Chef XL Bowl to plate
  28. Repeat with the rest
  29. Serve
