Step preview
- Pre-heat oven - 180°C
- Line a clean cupcake pan with paper muffin cups
- Attach Creaming beater
- Add butter and golden caster sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 3 min, Speed 3
- Then add egg, all purpose flour, baking powder, vanilla extract and milk to the Kenwood Bowl
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 3
- Spoon batter into cupcake pan
- Bake - 15 min, 180°C
- Clean Kenwood Bowl
- Attach Creaming beater
- Add butter, icing sugar, milk and vanilla extract to the Kenwood Bowl
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 2
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 4 min, Speed 4
- Transfer icing to piping bag
- Cut a small hole into each cupcake
- Slice the little piece of cake in half
- Top with strawberry jam
- Pipe icing onto cupcakes
- Place the small pieces of cake on top so that they resemble wings
- Serve
