Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Grease a clean mini loaf tin
  3. Attach Creaming beater
  4. Add butter and caster sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 3
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  7. Add egg to the Kenwood Bowl gradually while machine is running
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 1
  9. Then add all purpose flour, baking powder and lemon to the Kenwood Bowl
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 1
  11. Spoon mixture into mini loaf tin
  12. Bake - 15 min, 180°C
  13. Remove from oven and let cool
  14. Clean Kenwood Bowl
  15. Attach Creaming beater
  16. Add icing sugar and lemon juice to the Kenwood Bowl
  17. Mix with splashguard fitted until smooth - 1 min, Speed Min
  18. Transfer icing to piping bag
  19. Place cake on serving plate
  20. Pipe icing onto cake
  21. Garnish with lemon zest and Sugar flowers
  22. Serve
