Step preview

  1. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  2. Attach Creaming beater
  3. Add butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
  4. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 2 min, Speed 1
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted until smooth - 1 min, Speed 1
  6. Then add vanilla extract and egg to the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 2
  8. Then add all purpose flour, baking soda and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 1 min, Speed 1
  10. Then add smarties and sprinkles to the Kenwood Bowl
  11. Mix with splashguard fitted until combined - 30 sec, Speed Min
  12. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  13. Roll into a log
  14. Wrap with plastic wrap
  15. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  16. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  17. Retrieve the chilled dough from the fridge
  18. Transfer dough to work surface
  19. Take about 1 Tbsp of the dough and roll into ball
  20. Repeat with the rest of the dough
  21. Transfer shaped dough to baking tray
  22. Bake - 10 min, 190°C
  23. Remove from oven and let cool
  24. Serve
