These tasty parcels are perfect for lunches, parties or picnics. Younger children can help fill the parcels and older children can help prepare and grate the vegetables. We have been using a 5 cm cutter for this recipe, but you can really choose any size you like. Just remember that you may have to adjust the baking time accordingly.

Step preview

  1. Fit coarse grating disc (3) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  4. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  5. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  6. Add potato and water to the kCook bowl
  7. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  8. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  9. Cook with filler cap removed - 20 min, 94°C, speed 1
  10. Drain potatoes into colander
  11. Transfer potatoes to large mixing bowl then set aside
  12. Clean kCook bowl
  13. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  14. Add olive oil to the kCook bowl
  15. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  16. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  17. Cook with filler cap removed - 1 min, 140°C, speed 3
  18. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  19. Grate onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  20. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  21. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 120°C, speed 3
  22. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  23. Grate carrot and fresh beet into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  24. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  25. Cook with filler cap removed - 10 min, 120°C, speed 3
  26. Transfer vegetables to large mixing bowl
  27. Place the bowl containing the vegetable mix underneath the Direct Prep attachment
  28. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  29. Grate cheddar cheese into the large mixing bowl with direct prep attachment
  30. Add canned corn, rosemary, salt and black pepper to the large mixing bowl
  31. Mix until combined then set aside
  32. Add puff pastry to a clean lightly floured surface
  33. Roll out until 5 mm thick
  34. Using a 5 cm cutter, cut into rounds
  35. Spoon approximately 1 teaspoon of the filling onto each pastry circle
  36. Brush with egg
  37. Fold into a semicircle and press to seal
  38. Brush the outside of the parcels with the remaining egg
  39. Bake - 20 min, 200°C
  40. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly
  41. Serve
