These teriyaki beef skewers will disappear quickly when they are hot off the grill! Tender slices of sirloin steak marinated in a teriyaki style sauce and grilled until lightly charred. Serve with a rice salad and drizzle over the leftover sauce for a tasty dinner. If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 10 minutes to prevent them from burning.

Step preview

  1. Place the wooden skewers in a container filled with cold water and leave to soak
  2. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  3. Fit the knife blade to the Food Processor bowl
  4. Add soy sauce, light brown sugar, garlic clove, ginger, honey and sesame oil to the Food processor attachment
  5. Attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  6. Mix until combined
  7. Remove the attachment from the machine
  8. Pour content of Food processor attachment into Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Add water and cornstarch to a clean small bowl
  10. Stir until combined
  11. Attach the Creaming Beater
  12. Transfer cornflour mixture to Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  13. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  14. Cook with splashguard fitted until thickened - 5 min, 100°C, Stir 1
  15. Set aside and let cool
  16. Add sirloin steak to a clean medium bowl
  17. Transfer half of sauce to beef
  18. Mix until combined
  19. Cover with plastic wrap
  20. Let rest - 30 min
  21. Pre-heat oven - high heat
  22. Thread the beef onto 8 soaked wooden skewers or metal skewers
  23. Grill each side until cooked through - 5 min
  24. Drizzle beef with sauce
  25. Garnish with spring greens and sesame seeds
  26. Serve
