This cake takes a bit longer to make but is worth it. The pears and syrup stop the sponge from drying out and sweeten the cake (if your pears are already quite sweet you can leave out the maple syrup) and the creamy, nutty icing adds even more flavour.

Step preview

  1. Grease and flour a clean bundt pan then set aside
  2. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  3. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add egg, muscovado sugar, vegetable oil, all purpose flour, baking powder, almond milk, maple syrup, ground ginger and nutmeg to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap removed - 3 min, speed 5
  8. Then add pear and walnuts to the kCook bowl
  9. Mix with filler cap removed - 30 sec, speed 4
  10. Pour batter into bundt pan
  11. Bake - 55 min, 180°C
  12. Remove from oven and let cool
  13. Add almond butter, almond milk and vanilla extract to a clean small bowl
  14. Mix until combined
  15. Drizzle cake with icing
  16. Decorate with walnuts
  17. Serve
