Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Place shortcrust pastry on a clean lightly floured surface
  3. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  4. Transfer pastry to tart tin
  5. Prick with a fork
  6. Chill in fridge - 15 min
  7. Remove the chilled pastry from the fridge
  8. Line with parchment paper
  9. Fill with baking beans
  10. Bake - 10 min, 200°C
  11. Remove parchment paper with baking beans
  12. Brush with egg
  13. Bake - 10 min, 200°C
  14. Remove from oven then set aside
  15. Lower the oven temperature to 190ºC
  16. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  17. Add egg, egg yolk, milk, whipping cream and salt & pepper to the kCook bowl
  18. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  19. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  20. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 7
  21. Transfer egg mixture to jug
  22. Clean kCook bowl
  23. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  24. Add olive oil to the kCook bowl
  25. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  26. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  27. Heat with filler cap fitted - 140°C, speed 3
  28. Then add cubed bacon and mushrooms to the kCook bowl
  29. Cook with filler cap fitted - 8 min, 110°C, speed 4
  30. Then add spinach and fresh chives to the kCook bowl
  31. Cook with filler cap removed - 1 min, 110°C, speed 4
  32. Transfer mixture to tart tin
  33. Pour egg mixture into tart tin
  34. Top with sharp cheddar
  35. Bake - 25 min, 190°C
  36. Remove from oven and let cool
  37. Serve
