Step preview

  1. Add milk to a clean jug
  2. Microwave in microwave until lukewarm
  3. Add dried yeast and caster sugar to the jug
  4. Mix until combined then set aside - 15 min
  5. Attach Dough Hook
  6. Add bread flour, egg yolk and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  7. Transfer milk mixture to Kenwood Bowl
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 1
  9. Then add butter to the Kenwood Bowl
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted - 8 min, Speed 2
  11. Cover with kitchen towel
  12. Prove until doubled - 1 hr
  13. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  14. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  15. Cut into pieces
  16. Roll into balls
  17. Place one dough ball on the prepared baking tray
  18. Transfer the rest of dough balls to baking tray
  19. Cover with a damp tea towel
  20. Let rest - 30 min
  21. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  22. Place the baking tray in the oven
  23. Bake until lightly browned - 20 min
  24. Remove from oven and let cool
  25. Dust with icing sugar
  26. Decorate with glace cherries
  27. Serve
