A savoury British sauce recipe made with breadcrumbs, which is traditionally served as an accompaniment to a roast chicken or turkey dinner. This is a great recipe to use up leftover, or stale, bread and it can be frozen before the addition of the cream in the last step.

  1. Attach the Stir Tool
  2. Add milk, unsalted butter, onion, black peppercorns, cloves, garlic clove, bay leaves and fresh thyme to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

  5. Place a sieve over a heatproof bowl
  6. Strain through a sieve and reserve liquid
  7. Transfer the liquid back into the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Add breadcrumbs to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  9. Cook with splashguard fitted - 3 min, 98°C, Stir 3
  10. Then add single cream and ground nutmeg to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  11. Cook with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, 98°C, Stir 1
  12. Serve
