This is a traditional German biscuit like gingerbread. You can swap the icing topping for melted chocolate.

Step preview
- Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
- Attach the K-Beater
- Add honey and butter to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
- Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
- Heat with splashguard fitted - 4 min, 60°C, Stir 1
- Then add all purpose flour, ground almonds, ground ginger, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, black pepper, baking powder and baking soda to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed Min
- Transfer dough to medium bowl
- Cover with kitchen towel and let cool
- Pre-heat oven - 180°C
- Transfer dough to work surface
- Roll into balls
- Flatten each ball to make a dome shape
- Place dough balls on baking tray
- Bake - 15 min, 180°C
- Remove from oven and let cool
- Add icing sugar, egg white and water to a clean small bowl
- Mix until combined
- Dip biscuits into icing
- Turn out onto cooling rack until set
- Serve
