This recipe is so simple and fun to make and they are perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast or snack. Tasty apple pie filling rolled inside the slice of bread, fried until golden brown and coated with cinnamon sugar mixture. Be sure to use the larger slices of bread, if possible, as you need to have enough room to wrap around the apple filling.

Step preview

  1. Attach the Stir Tool
  2. Add apple, ground cinnamon, lemon juice and light brown sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  3. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  4. Cook with splashguard fitted - 10 min, 100°C, Stir 2
  5. Let cool - 10 min
  6. Place white sandwich bread on a clean work surface
  7. Roll out
  8. Spread with butter thinly
  9. Add filling to bread
  10. Roll up tightly, press down with the seam side facing down and set aside
  11. Clean Cooking Chef bowl
  12. Attach the Whisk
  13. Add light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, egg, milk and vanilla extract to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  14. Mix with splashguard fitted then set aside - 1 min, Speed Max
  15. Add ground cinnamon and caster sugar to a clean small bowl
  16. Mix until combined then set aside
  17. Add butter to a clean frying pan
  18. Heat until hot - medium-high heat
  19. Dip rolls into milk mixture
  20. Fry each side until golden brown - medium-high heat
  21. Sprinkle rolls with sugar mixture
  22. Serve
