Step preview

  1. Preheat an oven to 180ºC
  2. Grease a springform pan and line with parchment paper
  3. Zest the oranges into a large bowl and set aside
  4. Cut off the rest of the peel so that only the flesh remains, you will need 225g
  5. Add the orange flesh into the Blender attachment
  6. Blend until smooth
  7. Pour the pureed orange into the bowl with the zest and set aside
  8. Fit the Whisk Tool
  9. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  10. Whisk - 1 minute, speed Max
  11. Then add sugar while the machine is running - 3 minutes, speed Max
  12. Transfer the egg whites to a large glass bowl and set aside
  13. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Creaming Beater
  14. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  15. Mix until light and fluffy - 5 minutes, speed 3
  16. Then add the ingredients
  17. Mix - 1 minute, speed 3
  18. Then add the ingredient
  19. Mix - 30 seconds, speed 1
  20. Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl
  21. Sift half the flour mixture and mix - 30 seconds, speed 1
  22. Sift the remaining flour and mix - 30 seconds, speed 1
  23. Then add the ingredient and the pureed orange mixture
  24. Mix - 30 seconds, speed 1
  25. Remove the bowl from the machine
  26. Spoon one-third of egg white into the batter and fold gently
  27. Repeat with the rest of the egg whites, adding one-third at a time
  28. Pour the batter into the springform pan and spread until level
  29. Sprinkle with almonds
  30. Bake - 45 minutes, 180°C
  31. Turn off the oven and let the cake cool slowly in the oven - 30 minutes
  32. Remove from the oven and dust with icing sugar
  33. Dust with icing sugar
  34. Serve
