A mauricette is a salted bread roll from the French region of Alsace, made from pretzel dough, and used as sandwich bread. After brushing the rolls with egg wash, you can garnish them with various toppings such as sesame seeds, coarse sea salt, cumin seeds, pine nuts, or poppy seeds. An easy recipe that can be frozen.
