This recipe is used to make traditional or multi-cereal baguettes. You will need a baguette mould and a pizza stone. User generated recipes have not been tested by Kenwood.

Step preview

  1. Attach Dough Hook
  2. Add water, dried yeast, all purpose flour and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  3. Knead with splashguard fitted - 10 min, Speed 1
  4. Remove the dough hook
  5. proof - 2 hr
  6. Pre-heat oven - 260°C
  7. Place the pizza stone at the bottom of the oven
  8. Place an oven proof bowl on the middle rack
  9. Transfer content of Kenwood Bowl to lightly floured surface
  10. Divide into 2 equal pieces
  11. Shape the baguettes
  12. Transfer the baguettes in the baguette mould
  13. Sprinkle them with white flour
  14. Using a sharp knife, cut some diagonals across the dough
  15. Spray the baguettes with water
  16. Add some hot water in the oven proof bowl
  17. Place the baguette mould on the pizza stone and close the oven door immediately to keep the steam inside
  18. Bake - 17 min, 260°C
  19. Serve
