Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Line a clean cupcake pan
  3. Attach K Beater
  4. Add unsalted butter, golden caster sugar, egg, vanilla extract, all purpose flour, baking powder and cocoa powder to the Kenwood bowl
  5. Mix with splashguard fitted - 2 min, Speed 2
  6. Spoon mixture into cupcake pan
  7. Bake - 15 min, 180°C
  8. Remove from oven and let cool
  9. Clean Kenwood Bowl
  10. Attach Whisk
  11. Add unsalted butter, icing sugar, vanilla extract and espresso to the Kenwood bowl
  12. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 1 min, Speed Min
  13. Mix with splashguard fitted - 4 min, Speed 4
  14. Transfer icing to cupcakes
  15. Smooth until covered
  16. Serve
