These choux pastries, or cream puffs, are filled with a light chantilly cream and topped with almonds, they are worth the effort and look seriously impressive when you serve them up to friends or family.

Step preview

  1. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  2. Add water, milk, unsalted butter, salt and sugar to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  5. Mix with filler cap removed - 10 sec, 98°C, speed 3
  6. Then add all purpose flour to the pastry
  7. Mix with filler cap removed - 1 min, 70°C, speed 5
  8. Mix with filler cap removed - 3 min, speed 6
  9. Add egg to the pastry one by one while machine is running
  10. Mix with filler cap removed - 2 min, speed 6
  11. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  12. Transfer pastry to piping bag
  13. Transfer pastry to baking sheet
  14. Brush with egg
  15. Sprinkle with blanched almonds
  16. Let rest - 15 min
  17. Bake - 20 min, 180°C
  18. Let cool on round wire rack
  19. Cut into halves
  20. Fill with chantilly cream
  21. Dust with icing sugar
  22. Serve
