Step preview

  1. Add sultanas and water to a clean small bowl
  2. Soak - 10 min
  3. Drain then set aside
  4. Attach Dough Hook
  5. Add vegetable oil, caster sugar, egg, buttermilk, milk, bread flour, all purpose flour and baking powder to the Kenwood bowl
  6. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed Min
  7. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min, Speed 1
  8. Transfer soaked fruit to Kenwood bowl
  9. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 30 sec, Speed 1
  10. Remove the appliance bowl from the machine
  11. Cover with kitchen towel
  12. Let rest - 20 min
  13. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  14. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  15. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  16. Using a rolling pin, roll out until 1.5 cm thick
  17. Cut into rounds
  18. Place shaped dough on baking tray
  19. Let rest - 10 min
  20. Brush with egg
  21. Bake - 10 min, 190°C
  22. Remove from oven and let cool
  23. Serve
