Step preview

  1. Add unsalted butter and light brown sugar to a clean large saucepan
  2. Heat until melted - 5 min, medium-high heat
  3. Simmer until the mixture begins to caramelise
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat
  5. Add whipping cream, vanilla extract and butter to the large saucepan carefully
  6. Stir until well combined
  7. Pour caramel into jug then set aside
  8. Attach Whisk
  9. Add milk, egg, cocoa powder, caster sugar, baking powder, all purpose flour and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted until smooth - 2 min, Speed Max
  11. Pre-heat a clean frying pan - medium-high heat
  12. Add unsalted butter to the frying pan
  13. Heat until melted - medium-high heat
  14. Add one spoonful batter to frying pan
  15. Cook each side until browned - 1 min, medium-high heat
  16. Transfer the pancake to a serving plate
  17. Repeat with the rest
  18. Top with whipped cream and banana
  19. Drizzle with caramel
  20. Serve
