A classic frozen treat, you can use store bought raspberry puree or blend down fresh raspberries. Remember to place the bowl in the freezer 24 hours in advance.

Step preview
- Place the freezer bowl in the freezer 24 hours in advance
- Add whole milk, whipping cream and vanilla extract to a clean saucepan
- Heat until just boiling - medium heat
- Strain mixture into jug and let cool
- Attach Whisk
- Add egg yolk and caster sugar to the Kenwood Bowl
- Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 2 min, Speed 4
- Pour mixture into Kenwood Bowl carefully while machine is running
- Mix with splashguard fitted - 3 min, Speed Min
- Pour custard into saucepan
- Heat until thick - medium heat
- Chill in fridge until cold - 1 hr
- Attach the Frozen Dessert Maker to the machine
- Transfer custard to Frozen Dessert Maker attachment carefully
- Mix - 30 minutes, speed Min
- Spoon half of ice cream into airtight container
- Drizzle with raspberry purée
- Swirl through the ice cream
- Spoon the rest of ice cream into airtight container
- Drizzle with raspberry purée
- Swirl through the ice cream
- Cover with a lid
- Chill overnight in freezer
- Serve
