These crumbly biscuits are coated in pearl sugar. These are popular in northern Germany where they are often served over the festive season.

Step preview

  1. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add unsalted butter, caster sugar, egg and whole wheat flour to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 10
  6. Remove the dough from the appliance bowl
  7. Divide into 4 equal pieces
  8. Roll into logs
  9. Add pearl sugar to a clean medium bowl
  10. Coat each log in sugar
  11. Wrap with plastic wrap
  12. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  13. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  14. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  15. Cut the chilled dough into 1cm thick slices
  16. Place dough on baking tray and cover
  17. Chill in fridge - 10 min
  18. Bake until light golden - 15 min, 175°C
  19. Remove from oven and let cool
  20. Serve
