Step preview

  1. First, make the sauce
  2. Fit the Stir Tool and Stir Assist Clip
  3. Add oil into the appliance bowl, fit the splashguard
  4. Heat – 1 minute, 120°C, speed off
  5. Then add the ingredients
  6. Cook– 1 minute, 120°C, speed Stir 2
  7. Add the next ingredients
  8. Cook until reduced by half – 45 minutes, 98°C, speed Stir 3
  9. Let cool – 10 minutes
  10. Remove the basil sprig
  11. Fit the Knife Blade to the Food Processor attachment
  12. Transfer the sauce into the attachment
  13. Pulse until smooth
  14. Remove the attachment from the machine
  15. Pour the sauce into a medium bowl and let cool to room temperature
  16. Chill in the fridge until needed
  17. Now, make the dough
  18. Clean the appliance bowl
  19. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl and stir to combine
  20. Fit the Dough Tool
  21. Add the next ingredients into the appliance bowl
  22. Knead - 10 minutes, Speed 1
  23. Form the dough into a ball and place into a lightly oiled large bowl
  24. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge - 8 hours
  25. Lightly flour a large baking tray
  26. Divide the chilled dough into two equal pieces and form into balls
  27. Place the dough balls on the baking tray and spread apart
  28. Cover with kitchen towel and let rest until doubled in size – 2 hours
  29. Preheat the oven - 250ºC
  30. Place two clean baking trays on separate shelves in the oven
  31. Place one dough ball on the lightly floured work surface
  32. Gently press the centre of the dough to flatten
  33. Press and stretch the dough into a circle, about 35cm in dimension
  34. Leave the outer 1cm of the dough higher than the centre to form the crust
  35. Repeat the same process with the second dough ball
  36. Place one pizza on a lightly floured pizza peel
  37. Spread half of the sauce evenly on the pizza up to the crust
  38. Top with half of the cheese
  39. Gently slide pizza off the peel onto one of the preheated baking trays
  40. Repeat the same process with the second pizza
  41. Bake until the crust is golden brown and cooked through and the cheese has melted with some dark spots – 15 minutes, 250ºC
  42. Using the pizza peel, remove the pizzas from the oven
  43. Slice into eight pieces
  44. Serve
