Make these little treats for your Halloween party. This recipe makes a lot of truffles so you can freeze half the cake and icing wrapped tightly for up to one month and only make half the buttercream.

Step preview

  1. Preheat the oven - 180ºC
  2. Line the tin with parchment paper
  3. Fit the Knife Blade (or Max Blade for kCook Multi)
  4. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid
  5. Mix without the filler cap - 1 minute 30 seconds, speed 8
  6. Transfer the batter into the tin
  7. Bake – 25 minutes, 180ºC
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool
  9. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl and set aside
  10. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Whisk Tool
  11. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid
  12. Mix and then scrape the bowl – 1 minute, speed 5
  13. Mix – 4 minutes, speed 7
  14. Add the icing into the cake crumbs and mix until combined
  15. Roll the mixture into balls and place them onto the baking tray
  16. Chill in the fridge until set – 30 minutes
  17. Coat the chilled balls into melted orange candy melts
  18. Sprinkle with orange zest and let set
  19. Serve
