These little pies are packed with cheese, taste fantastic and make a great appetiser or part of Mezze. We have used mozzarella, as it is widely available but if you can, use akkawi cheese instead.

Step preview

  1. Making the dough:
  2. Fit the Midi Blade (or Knife Blade for CookEasy+)
  3. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid
  4. Mix - 2 minutes, speed 7
  5. Place the dough into a medium bowl and cover
  6. Let rest – 30 minutes
  7. Making the filling:
  8. Clean the appliance bowl and fit the Stir Tool
  9. Add the ingredients into the appliance bowl, attach the lid
  10. Mix - 1 minute, speed 6
  11. Preheat an oven - 190ºC
  12. Line a baking tray with parchment paper
  13. Place the dough onto a lightly floured work surface
  14. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough until about 2mm thick
  15. Using a 5cm round cutter, cut out circles
  16. Place 1-2 Tbsp of the filling in the middle of each circle
  17. Pinch two sides of the circle together at each end to create an oval shape with a small opening in the middle
  18. Place the rounds on baking tray
  19. Bake – 20 minutes, 190ºC
  20. Remove from the oven and let cool
  21. Serve
